Agatized coral occurs when silica in the ocean water hardens, replacing the limy corals with a form of quartz known as chalcedony. A process that takes 20-30 million years.

These Fossil coral are just stunning to behold. Varying shades of pale cream, grey, gold and even beautiful blush reds along with patterns that look like mini citrus slices forever preserved in the quartz.

The one of a kind stunning stones are complimented by simple hoop teardrop leverbacks of sterling silver at an overall length of 1-7/8". These are truly the finest fossil coral I have had the pleasure to come across.
