This one of a kind necklace features the rarest of rare, the finest, coveted, all natural collectible Sleeping Beauty Turquoise with precious metals. 
 
Now that the Sleeping Beauty Mines are closed to the production of turquoise, high quality material is becoming very scarce and collectible, with most of the remaining roughs in Europe and Asia, as they are considered by most to be the finest turquoise in the world. I've collected Sleeping Beauty turquoise for over 2 decades, way before the mines closed as it is one of my all time favorite gemstones.  These beauties I acquired at the JA NY show, a trade show for high end jewelry and supplies where exhibitors from all over the world gather and was fortunate enough to find some gorgeous gems from manufacturers in Asia. Due to the collectibility of these beauties, the prices have sky rocketed in recent years. Many items being sold as Sleeping Beauty turquoise today are imitations, these are absolutely the genuine article.
 
With that said, the turquoise featured in this one of a kind necklace is as rare as it gets being untreated. 95% of turquoise today is stabilized as a standard practice, only a rare 5% is stable enough to be left untreated. The fabulous turquoise featured here is that rare 5%, for gem collectors who prefer untreated turquoise. 
 
At a massive 332ct in weight, though untreated, these beauties possess superb luster, jaw dropping natural robin's egg blue color, with natural gray cream matrix that is characteristic of genuine Sleeping Beauty turquoise that is left unfilled, natural beauty that should not be considered as flaws. The faceted roundels graduate in size from the smallest at 9mm to the largest at a sizable 15mm. Each rare turquoise is flanked by 18k gold beads to showcase each and every one, with a beautifully large, 13mm, 16.55ct faceted, natural ruby that is accentuated by handmade, 22k solid gold lacey beadcaps that is placed asymmetrically for interest. 
 
The necklace measures at a length of 21 inches and is finished first with 18k gold beads with bezel set natural rubies, then with a solid 18k gold clasp studded with a half carat of natural, pave diamonds that cover both sides of the clasp and the connector ring which it fastens to. Necklace can be worn asymmetrically to feature the stunning clasp as shown in one of the photos.
